Zindzi Mandela reportedly tested positive of COVID-19 the same day she passed away.
Zindzi is former President Nelson Mandela and Winnie Madikizela Mandela's youngest daughter. She is a former South African ambassador to Denmark.
She passes away on Monday morning at the age of 59. She had been admitted in a Johannesburg hospital.
Her son, Zondwa Mandela said that his mother tested positive of coronavirus but it was unclear it her passing was as a result. The family is reportedly still waiting for further autopsy results.

Zondwa Mandela, son of the former South African ambassador to Denmark, said she had tested positive for Covid-19 but it remained unclear if this was the cause of her death. The family are awaiting further autopsy results.
“Death has snatched another member of our family too soon and left a gaping chasm of pain in the wake of her passing,” wrote Mandla Mandela on Instagram.
“We shall always treasure fond memories of her as a feisty, fearless and proud freedom fighter in her own right.”
