Makate maintains that the 'please call me' service has generated an estimated revenue of R205 billion over the period of 20 years.
The inventor of 'Please Call Me' Nkosana Makate has win a court case against Vodacom as the court rules that all records and contracts with other service providers must be released. The Pretoria High Court ruled that Vodacom has only 21 days to hand over all financial records to that it can be determined how much exactly is owed to Makate.
Makate who previously worked for Vodacom and invented the 'please call me' previously rejected the R47 million offer made but insists that the company owes him R20 billion.
Makate maintains that the 'please call me' service has generated an estimated revenue of R205 billion over the period of 20 years. He is demanding a share of only 5% including interest.
In his attempt to expose lies told by Vodacom, Makate approached the courts seeking that Vodacom Chief Executive Officer Shameel Joosub makes available all documents he relied on when making the R47 million settlement offer calculations.
If @Vodacom was an ethical company really, the would have offered #nkosanamakate a better settlement than a lousy R47 million. pic.twitter.com/UztrRWp6BX
