"I will simply provide evidence to backup the claims and I have witnesses."
The wife of the Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema is Mantoa Matlala is suing the ANC Boy Mamabola for R1 million over allegations he made in parliament. During Cyril Ramaphosa's state of the nation (SONA) debate, Mamabolo alleged that Malema abuses Mantoa.
Malema did not take those allegations lightly and he fired back claiming that President Ramaphosa is a women abuser. Malema told parliament that Ramaphosa used to beat his former and late wife.
“When I spoke here during the Sona debate last year, anyone who has never beaten his wife in the past 25 years must raise his hand and I said I can do that because I have no history of such things. I have never, not once; not my ex, not my wife. I never laid a hand on my wife," said Malema.
President Ramaphosa did not respond to these allegations by EFF's Malema.
It is reported that Mamabolo is already served with a lawsuit letter from Malema's wife.
According to Maontoa lawyers letter, allegations by Mamabolo are false and have caused her and their children harm.
“As you may, or may not, be aware, our client has small children, the oldest being 13 years old. Your false accusations have now cast a dark cloud over the entire family. These children now need to attend school and be mocked and ridiculed due to the false accusations levelled against their parents. Your false accusations have caused grave harm and damage to the family," read the letter.
In a turn of events, Mamabolo is refusing to back down on his claim but has instead threatened to provide evidence that Malema abuses his wife.
“I will simply provide evidence to backup the claims and I have witnesses. Her sister is amongst them," said Mamabolo.
